At Dominican, professors teach their own classes; there are no teaching assistants. Faculty members have chosen to teach at Dominican because the university is committed to excellence in teaching. One professor in the communications department is a highly soughtafter communication/management consultant for organizations throughout the United States and Canada; another is internationally known for her expertise in the area of film, especially Japanese film, Chinese film and women’s film. Another faculty member brings to Dominican seven years of professional journalism experience and an emerging reputation as a specialist in international media history
