Internships

The internship program at Dominican University has successfully placed students in a variety of business organizations. Students apply concepts learned in the classroom to the “real-world” setting while working for professionals in business settings. In some cases, student interns receive wages while earning academic credit.

These are a few of the organizations where Dominican communication students have pursued internships recently:

  • Continental Cablevision
  • WNUA Radio
  • NBC
  • Multimedia Entertainment
  • AT&T
  • Chicago Cubs
  • WLS-TV
  • Chicagoland TV News
  • WTTW
  • Sports Channel
  • 3M
  • Field Museum
  • Museum of Broadcast Communication

Five-year Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree Programs

Qualified students may begin graduate-level work in the Brennan School of Business while they are undergraduates, reducing the time required to complete an MBA degree. These programs are well suited to students completing the corporate communication major. The required foundation courses are taken as electives in the undergraduate program. Students take one graduate core course during each semester of their senior year. The students then take the remaining core courses the following year.
