Internships

For juniors and seniors, completing an internship is important to learn more about specific fields of interest, gain practical experience in a future career and accumulate up to eight hours of college credit. The internship program at Dominican University employs a full-time internship director who advises students and connects them with employers. In many instances, students earn a stipend.

Career Development

Dominican University students obtain more than the basic tools for a successful career; they also discover resources that enhance and develop their individual talents. Dominican operates a Center for Career Development that provides students with support and direction in job search, resume development, interview techniques, career choice counseling and Internet career search strategies.

Five-Year BA/MBA

Qualified Dominican University students may be able to complete the bachelor’s degree and the MBA in a total of five calendar years. During their undergraduate years, business majors complete the equivalent of the MBA foundation courses. In the senior year, two MBA course are taken, one each semester, and credited to the undergraduate degree. The remaining eight MBA courses can be taken in the summer, fall and spring semesters of the following year.
