Faculty

At Dominican University, the student-to-faculty ratio of 12 to 1 assures individualized attention. Professors teach their own classes; there are no video lectures or teaching assistants. Faculty members have chosen to be at Dominican University because of the university’s commitment to excellent teaching.

The political science department at Dominican University, which includes the Sister Candida Lund Chair in Political Science, is especially strong with faculty specialists in the areas of political philosophy, constitutional law, Middle East politics and international relations. Faculty members at Dominican have published in the American Political Science Review, the Review of Politics, Perspectives on Political Science and other national scholarly journals.
