| Bill
Kerr has an undergraduate degree in studio art and anthropology
from the University of Virginia. He earned his Masters in
Design at the Institute of Design at the Illinois Institute
of Technology where he was a Motorola Fellow for two years.
He
brings a diverse background to his teaching. His studies in
Paris, France whet his appetite for world travel. He spent
two years working for the Kenyan government chairing the mathematics
department of a rural high school. Later he moved to northern
Japan where he taught English and helped develop a junior
high school text and teaching materials for the Japanese government.
His
first full-time job as a Graphic Designer was as a VISTA Volunteer
(the "domestic Peace Corps") in Knoxville, Tennessee
with the East Tennessee Community Design Center.
In
addition to his passion for Graphic Design, Bill is a textile
artist and co-owner of
FunQuilts.
