What is the Summer Reading Program?
* Each student chooses a book to read from the list for his/her class.

*The student reads the book and participates in a discussion group in the fall (Sept.) when school resumes. (You may want to take notes or post-it significant passages/characters/events/etc. since you may read the book 3 months before the discussion.)

Why participate in Summer Reading?
* Reading improves student performance in all areas of education.

* It's fun! The selected titles cover a wide range of genres, interests, and topics. Choose one that suits you!

Where do students get the books?
* Students may check out the book from the WHS library or any public library. (Indian Trails Public Library)

* Or you may purchase the book at any book store (B&N or Borders) or online store like Amazon.com

*Barnes and Noble will sell summer reading books in WHS Room 102 two weeks before final exams (May 22-23).

* Or you may borrow the book from a friend!
