Sarah Hess was born and raised on the north side of Chicago. She
discovered art at an early age. She
attended classes at Marwen
during her years in grade school and high school. She became interested in photography, while
in high school, after her father gave her an old camera. She went on to study photography and fine art
at Wilbur Wright College and at The
School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Sarah often works with mixed media, often
incorporating the following: oil painting, photography, video & audio,
found objects & organic materials, and installation. Sarah recently
graduated from Dominican
University with a B.A. in History, with a focus on education. She is
certified to teach both art and the social sciences.
