Introduction Congratulations! As 8th
graders, you have been selected to design a new playground for our school
that will be used by the entire student body (grades K-8). With a budget of $25,000, your mission is
to design a state of the art play facility using your excellent skills as
mathematicians. By combining your classroom knowledge of algebraic and
geometric concepts along with realistic problem-solving skills, your group
will experience a day (or month) in the life of an actual design team. Each group will present their design
to the class along with a clear and convincing explanation of why their
design should be selected. The presentations will be followed by a final vote
and the winning team will receive the honor of TOP designers! So get
